Grängesberg Iron AB

Appeal of mining concession rejected

June 16th, 2014

A decision by the Swedish Government of 12 June 2014 rejects an appeal of the mining concession decision for the Grängesberg mine. On 14 May 2013, the Swedish Mining Inspectorate granted Grängesberg Iron AB a mining concession for the iron ore mine in Grängesberg, in the Bergslagen district in central Sweden. The decision was appealed by Spendrups Brewery in the village of Grängesberg, regarding details of conditions for measurements in the concession. The Swedish Government has now rejected the appeal.
